Using plastic containers isn't a good idea only because of the rupture possibility. Backpackers use aluminum fuel bottles for small stoves. Hard to fill at a gas station, but much safer. I use to transfer fuel from my 6 gal tank to a 2 hp engine with a standard fuel hose after removing both ends. Squeezing the bulb starts the flow and a siphon/gravity kept it going after that. I kept an extra fuel hose just for this purpose. Of course I had a 23' boat with much more storage space. Sandy
