Scott- I don't think this is a Montgomery. We never made a 15 without lapstrakes, and never made a 17 with a bulb keel. Please note new email address- the old one runs out in about a week. I am looking at a Montgomery sailboat that is for sale near me, and I'm having trouble identifying it. The title lists it as a 1990 Montgomery Kit. It's about 15 feet long, has a fixed bulb keel, and looks similar to the current Montgomery 15 sailboats except it lacks the lapstrake-like detailing on the sides and that storage compartments under the seats in the cockpit. The boat needs some work, it needs a new tiller, cabin hatch, and the wood trim around the opening into the cabin. I'm not sure if I can purchase these parts (because it doesn't look quite like the Montgomery 15) or if I'll need to make then. I need to make an offer in the next couple of days or the owner is going to donate the boat for a tax writeoff, so I'd very much appreceiate any information you can get me.
