Congrats on getting Midnight Passage home, Joe! That black hull looks beautiful. I hope you will have as much fun as I have sailing Monty's. They are truly fabulous boats. .......and Bones.....I think you are right..that does look like a green 23 in the background. There must be another lucky 23 owner in the making! Had Dauntless out today in 15-20 knots. Still learning her characteristics. She sails like a much larger boat than the other 23's I've had. The harder it blows the better she likes it (like every other Monty!). Finishing up replaceing all the exterior teak, except the handrails. Ever try to find a set of 10 loop teak handrails? I gave up. Removed 'em, stripped 'em, rebedded, plugged, and oiled. Everything else, hatch slides, eyebrowes, strips on top of hatch, and weather board slots all replaced. It sure is nice to finally have her at the point that even though the projects continue we can go sailing 3-4 times a week! woohoo! Sailing season is just kicking in here in the Southwest Deserts. Finally!!! Hey Larry! How 'bout San Juans '07?????????? We're keeping our fingers crossed! Sean
I just clogged Bill's email with photos of today's sail. Today's high was 52 degrees and overcast. Not a great day for sailing, but I was on the water with two of my sons in our new boat and it turned out to be a great day. Midnight Passage is now parked in the garage, waiting for a little sunshine. Joe Moore PS: Sean, I wore my M15 cap in the photos! On 11/5/06 6:25 PM, "Nebwest2@aol.com" <Nebwest2@aol.com> wrote:

Without bothering Jerry, can anyone give my an approimate cost for replacing all the wire and end fittings for a 17? I have all the turnbuckles already, just wondering about the wire. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Tim D #369 'Puff'
I found this to be a good source when I replaced the standing rigging on Dolphin: http://www.riggingonly.com/ -----Original Message----- From: montgomery_boats-bounces+giles.morris=unisys.com@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:montgomery_boats-bounces+giles.morris=unisys.com@mailman.xmissio n.com] On Behalf Of Timtone Sent: Monday, November 06, 2006 9:55 AM To: For and about Montgomery Sailboats Subject: M_Boats: M17 wire transplant Without bothering Jerry, can anyone give my an approimate cost for replacing all the wire and end fittings for a 17?
