Has anyone found a way of keeping a m15 on course when moving about on the boat . I sail and motor on the Fraser river single handed and ever time I move on the boat it will change direction with the tiller tied down . I'm thinking of maybe a Raymarine st1000 might work . Anyone tried this or have any thought on it with a m15 like mine Thanks Klaas
Klaas: very difficult to get an M15 to hold course by just securing the tiller as when you move the boat rolls and this changes her center of effort. if you hove-too you can get the boat to settle down, mostly, and this will give you enough time to use the head and/or make a sandwich etc. :: Dave Scobie :: former M15 owner #288 - http://www.freewebs.com/m15-name-scred :: M17 #375 SWEET PEA - http://www.m17-375.webs.com :: Sage 17 #1 - AIR BORN - http://sagemarine.us/sage_17.html :: Sage 15 sloop #001 - ASOLARE - http://sagemarine.us/sage_15.html :: SageCat #000 - SAGECAT - http://sagemarine.us/sagecat.html On Sun, Feb 26, 2017 at 6:55 PM, Klaas <santaklaas@telus.net> wrote:

M_Boats: M 15 wandering I used a Raymarine t1000 for years on first a Flicka and then a Cape Dory 28. They work very well. Never did put one on the Monty 17, I had, I was able to lash the helm and it sailed itself pretty well even when I stood by the mast on the cabin top. I think the Raymarine Unit will take care of your M 15 although it might "saw" in and out a bit. On Sun, Feb 26, 2017 at 7:55 PM, Klaas <santaklaas@telus.net> wrote:
