Re: M_Boats: Not Another Trailer Question
Steve, the keel should be resting on the [bottom] board. The boats weight is to be on that. The boards, or what ever, along side keep it balanced, if you will. No weight should be held by those side boards. Kinda just snug i guess. `T` " Do infants enjoy infancy, as much as adults enjoy adultery"? `Carlin`
Steve, So there you have it - two contradictory opinions. I was concerned that the ballast in the keel might need direct support and that bouncing along a road might put undue stress on the fiberglass hull in contact with the bunks boards but concluded (perhaps mistakenly) that pressing 750 pounds of weight (empty) against a rubber roller with only the fiberglass coated keel between them didn't make sense. Bouncing along with all that weight on a board seems even worse. Perhaps the correct answer will come from the boat builder ?????? Stan
