Well said, Tim. Those are some of my favorite sailing conditions, too. Smooth sailing into the sunset. Life is good! Larry On Fri, 29 Sep 2006 07:01:53 -0700 Timtone <tim@timtone.com> writes:
Had a wonderful evenings sail yesterday. Left work as early as possible and got on the water by 6 pm or so. Had about an hour of light breeze until sunset and sailed on into a beautiful sky of baby blue and magenta. It gets dark far too early these days but no complaints as it is still warm enough to wear shorts, a T-shirt and skin shoes. There were almost no boats on the big lake last night so I was able to toddle along just fine on glassy water. Must have been some pressure just off the water. It is fun to sail so quietly that you startle ducks. Light pressure sailing is a fine joy when you are not being knocked back by motor boat wake. On an evening with conditions like this, where you can bounce off of three knots in a barely perceptable breeze, you really grow to appreciate the wonderful and slippery qualities of a Lyle drawn hull.

Life is good indeed. Warm temps and wind forecasted for tomorrow. Rig the heavy sheets and pack the IPA. Bring on some wind. ~:0)
