As we drove up the west side of the lake looking for ramps and marinas, it was a very depressing sight. Hardly a mast to be seen at any marina, just wall to wall motorboats, so we decided Lake George is not for sailors, ..........onward to Lake Champlain, which by now was "home"............... Moosehead Lake in Maine was a delightful sailing spot. Every bit as nice as Lake Champlain, but, a lot further drive to reach it. Maybe that is what we sailors will all have to do in the future, if we want our peace and quiet while sailing. When we got to Moosehead Lake and got settled in a small cabin, the next morning it was blowing 30 knots. No weather for us. So, instead of sailing we drove to Quebec, and spent a day wandering around that lovely town. The rest of our time at Moosehead, we had wonderful sailing; gentle breezes; nice broad reaches back and forth across the lake; thoroughly delightful. The only negative was the travel time from the Hartford, CT area to Moosehead, vs. the travel time to get to Lake Champlain - a lot less. So, once was enough for us in that direction. CDI roller furler for M-17 FF1 or FF2? gilbert
My bad, should have read the archieves first, but I am as excited as a boy on a first date. FF2 w/RR going all the way. The MSOG site has a spec that I printed up and will present to the sailmaker. It shows webbing on the top of the sail and at the foot seems grommets would work better. I have had webbing on my sailboard sails before and they get scrunched up and affect sail shape. What kind of arrangements do you all have? gilbert -----Original Message----- From: montgomery_boats-bounces+gilbert=mindgame.com@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:montgomery_boats-bounces+gilbert=mindgame.com@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Gilbert Landin Sent: Thursday, April 28, 2005 10:46 PM To: 'Craig F.
