Tim, Mayhaps you are someone else, but your windy day on Okanagan is still on YouTube. Although there are only so many ways to skin a cat (sorry, cat lovers), I think your reefing system is second to none, and just the ticket for those of us who sail in fluky lake winds. You might put it out there for folks who are new to the Montgomery "family". Tom Jenkins M17 Scintilla On Apr 27, 2010, at 11:18 PM, Tim Diebert wrote:

Yes, Vancouver is very nice. It is a tad weird to get around because of all the bridges and the tunnel. I am pretty much a country boy and avoid cities when I can. Although I live about 5 hours (driving) away from Vancouver, I do sail the gulf island area but tend to fly or drive (ferry) to Sidney on Vancouver Island and go from there. Vancouver would be a grand spot for you to bring your own boat one day for sure. Depending on winds, it is a reasonably quick crossing to Nanimo (Vancouver Island). That's basically to north end of the southern gulf island group. Great Harbour and marinas. As this group can attest to...the gulf islands and American San Juans are super spots for cruising. Cheers, Tim #369 PUFF Kelowna BC
