Re: M_Boats: M-15 trailering
Steve, The newsletter went out of publication a couple of years ago. It was a small quarterly publication run by volunteers. I think several folks on this list worked with the newsletter or offered articles, etc. If there is a way to scan the past copies and put them up on the web site that would be a good service. I'm not sure what that would take but perhaps someone might be interested in working with that. Randy W. M15#194

What is the 'Montgomery Newsletter' you mention? -- I hadn't heard of it before, but certainly would be interested in subscribing if such a thing exists. -- Steve McClellan 1981 M15 #152 stevemc35@attbi.com
I also have a copy of the Montgomery newsletter that has a plan for building one utilizing PVC. I'll find that and make a copy for you.

Whatever it takes to encourage whoever would have the back issues of the Monty newsletter to scan them for the MSOG site, I, and I'm sure others, would love to see this done: I would be willing to contribute $$ toward the cost of scanning them at Kinko's or some other copy shop, if necessary . . . ----- Original Message ----- From: "Randy Watkins" <watkins@odpemail.tamu.edu> To: <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Thursday, March 28, 2002 10:51 AM Subject: M_Boats: M-15 trailering Steve, The newsletter went out of publication a couple of years ago. Well. another surprise spoiled. The reason I didn't pipe up earlier is because Theo and I have been communicating off list for the past week or two to get his issues of the Montgomery Owner's Newsletter up on the MSOG. Theo sent me the pdf files, but they are too large to read onscreen and large to download, being 11x17 (then folded in half). Theo is in the process of breaking them out to single page size and will re-send them when he can. I think I asked this a while back, but seem to have lost the info. Since I joined the M-clan towards the end of the MON, someone who is more familiar with the situation could contact the folks who published it before Theo, it would be great to beg for the original digital files so we don't have to go the scanning route. Any digital format would be easier than scanning, and photos would be in color. Theo's pretty sure they may not be available, but it would be worth the effort to try to find the original files. If they aren't obtainable digitally, someone can send me their back issues and I'll start scanning them here at home. Please let me know how it goes and we'll decide if/when to go the scanning route.
