I think this question was posted to the list a couple years ago and at the time, the answer was "no" . . . But given the fast-paced evolution of technology, I'll ask it again: Does any manufacturer make a hand-held to which you can attach a coax for a mast-mount antenna, to increase its range (not that you'd necessarily NEED to)?<<

I've used an adapter to connect my HH CB to an antenna on the car roof when travelling...it also plugs into my Marine Uniden HH, but I've no mast antenna to test it out. I see no reason why you couldn't get an adapter to connect a mast mounted antenna. My only question is....would the impedance match?? This one came from Radio Shack. Both connectors on my HH's are "N" connectors, IIRC. Best to take your HH to Rat Shack and get it fitted. Shouldn't cost more'n a few $$$. Harvey/Ga M-17 Stargazer #294
