I’m a new owner. The rudder is cranky about kicking up. I recently made contact with something underwater and it chipped the rudder slightly but didn’t kick it up. I haven’t found any helpful suggestions so far so I’m hoping someone can offer a suggestion or two. Thanks, Lee
Lee. Welcome to the group. From your description I'm guessing you have the rudder as Jerry built for the boat and not an aftermarket one from, say, RudderCraft. The cheeks may to tight. Try loosing the nuts a 1/16-turn and see if the rudder is easier to move up/down. You don't want the rudder to be loose. It sits sug-ish within the cheeks.
