Hello ! I was wondering if anyone has, or knows of a website that has pictures of the interior of the "17". I've only seen the pics that the builder has, but they don't show any views aft! I'd like to see galley arrangements and ideas for extended trips(1 or 2 weeks) . Thanks! Ian
Ian, There is a review of the M-17 in the JAN/FEB 2001 ISSUE NO. 7 of SMALL CRAFT ADVISOR. While there is no interior view looking aft it does show a good shot looking into the cabin from the cockpit. In the picture you can see that there is sitting room on each side. Making arrangements to cook in the cockpit is the option I chose. I am currently working on a canopy that will give cover from the elements while at anchor. These interior pictures of ³Audasea² are on the MSOG website: http://www.msog.org/models/m17/m-17-portgalley.cfm This boat is the older, port side galley model. I have some other pictures (shows the new cushions) but I no longer have a scanner. If you want some specifics, I can use my digital camera and get you what you want, but it could take a week or so. She is still in storage...but may be coming out this weekend. Time to get serious about some projects I¹m working on. When it¹s 70 degrees out and the wind is blowing, you should be ready to go. It has been and I¹m not! One of my new galley projects is to connect the pump to a water supply....which has yet to be determined. I may be adding a 14 gallon soft bladder under the V-berth. I seem to recall someone else has one up there, and it balances the boat better than the hard tank under the cockpit. I also have a Coleman Oven I want to try on top of the Origo stove. As for extended trips...see Tod¹s Great Adventure last Summer on Lake Huron...also on the MSOG: http://www.msog.org/trippics/tod_lakehuron_01/lake_huron.cfm I think that once the boat is ready, you just find a place to load some food, water, gas, the dog and then cast off!
