Follows my attempts at the K.I.S.S. credo, the Boomkickers are beautiful in their simplicity. Just saw them advertised in APS catalog that arrived yesterday to tempt my wallet with shiny cool things for the boat! NFIW. G.O. M-17 # 316a PS. If I want my halyard higher than the Boomkicker will carry it at mooring for cockpit cruising headroom - I just tie my Main haly to the outhaul and hoist away - No shackles at the haly ends either, main or headsail - less stuff - less weight - less money spent on 'redundant' things - they didn't use them in the "old" days. I use the figure 8 knot with an overhand thru the headboard or grommet. Gotta love it! Next time I sail with you I will give you a halyard shackle! ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
