For those of you that are tired of discovering your fresh water supply has leaked out of the container you bought at the camping supply store: LC industries is selling military-spec five-gallon plastic jerrycans direct for $15.84. These are the incredibly rugged water containers that our troops rely on while stationed in the sand countries. They come in high fashion hues of Olive Drab and Desert Sand (although there are rumors of Nato Blue). The same jerrycan made by Scepter sells for around $30. Shipping is free if you buy over $50 worth of stuff. But the best part is that LC industries goes out of their way to hire the blind. http://www.buylci.com/browse.php Jim Poulakis M-17 "Spirit"

Sorry, their website is kinda funky. In the upper left there should be a "search Item" box. Type in "water can" - then scroll down. Jim Poulakis M-17 "Spirit" On Mar 12, 2009, at 5:15 PM, W David Scobie wrote:

I can attest to the ruggedness of these jerry-cans. Our Boy Scout troop obtained 5 of them and used them every month for 12 years hauling water on each and every campout. The cap has a small cap that helps to minimize accidental overspills. On my last visit back to VA I noticed they are still being used. The taste and quality of the water is perfect. My question is .... where do you put these on a Monty?>?> Joe ----- Original Message ----- From: "James Poulakis" <picfo@comcast.net> To: "For and about Montgomery Sailboats" <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Thursday, March 12, 2009 7:15 PM Subject: M_Boats: Water Storage

They fit through the port V-berth access hatch. I just got mine so I haven't sailed with them yet. Jim Poulakis M-17 "Spirit" On Mar 12, 2009, at 5:21 PM, Joe Murphy wrote:
