Jesse, Here's the "latest" message from Doug Kelch, the tour planner, guide, program director, and followed leader for the CBC 2003. Hope you can make it for some or all. Stan Winarski M-15, # 177, Carol II Well here we putting plans in place to make fond memories for 2004 and beyond. The Chesapeake Cruises with other small boat enthusiasts are some of the best memories I have of sailing the Bay. I thoroughly enjoy cruising the nooks and crannies by myself but the extra pleasure of enjoying the company of like minded people has been a pleasant surprise. For those of you have cruised in company before you understand the differences. Those of you who haven't should do yourselves a favor and give it a try. These cruises are unstructured, some would even say unorganized, but this provides a pressure free environment to retain your independence yet share the the experience of cruising in company. We have a rough itinerary for the week but go where the weather suggests on a daily basis (we go where and when the wind blow with moderation). The cruise officially starts on Saturday at noon so we hope everyone can get launched and sorted out by then and meet at a local restaurant to swap stories and plan the next day's destination. Some people stay a couple of days, some stay for the whole week. This year it looks like we have another good turnout in the works. I would appreciate a response from everyone on the email list as to your intentions so that we can checkout the accommodations (launch ramps, parking, etc)before hand.
