In Audasea (M17), I mounted the transducer about 3 ribs off center from the shallow bilge under the V-berth. Between the battery box and the bulkhead, and shooting past the keel. It's always given me a signal. Howard On 8/25/04 6:55 AM, "LUDLOWD2@aol.com" <LUDLOWD2@aol.com> wrote:
Clarence Where did you mount the transducer? I understand that you need a location where the water flows past with no turbulence or air bubbles. The keel seems to be in the way in the center of the boat and forward is difficult to get at because of the sole liner around the portapotti in the M15. I thought of dropping a pipe off the stern from the motor mount but then I have to run the cable all the way forward. Its a delimma! Curently I use a knotted line with a weight.
