Roller furling is just a way of rolling the sail up. Reefing sail has a padded luff section in the sail. As the sail is rolled, the mid section of the sail has slack taken up to maintain proper sail shape. -----Original Message----- From: thomaspbuzzi@gmail.com To: For and about Montgomery Sailboats <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Mon, Jul 27, 2015 3:00 pm Subject: M_Boats: Looking for a new mainsail Are there any domestic, custom sail makers familiar with Montgomery 17 mainsails? First hand experience appreciated. I am also considering roller furling on the jib. Is there a difference between roller furling or roller reefing a jib besides spelling? Thanks, Tom B
