Did you attempt to catch any fish? Could you catch enough for your dinner? They probably have trout or bass, maybe both. -----Original Message----- From: Douglas Kelch Sent: Wednesday, August 23, 2017 1:13 PM To: David Grah ; For and about Montgomery Sailboats Subject: Re: M_Boats: Lake Powell Video I made a 7 day solo trip in October a few years ago. The temperatures were perfect but the wind forecast was so light I did not even take the mast. Had a great trip even though there was no wind. I launched from Hall's crossing and headed east trying to avoid high motorboat traffic. I am thinking of taking my rowing/sailing NE Dory there next year. Thanks, John. I'm probably not a good expert on Lake Powell, but have been there three times with the boat. I think two were in May and one was in June. The June one was good but hotter and less wind. This year we got on the lake the 13th and off the 20th, I think. I bet fall would be nice but I wonder if there would be much wind. Roughly the daily mileage was 12.5, 22.5, 18.5, 27.3, 0, 28.9, 39.7, 12.5.

Awesome, and inspiring.
How early/late in May were you there? Is that an optimum time of year? Fall maybe also, I assume.
What kind of distance were your typical days? The tracks are great but I don't have any sense of distance.
thanks, John S.
