I was only asked about the kind of bedding to use under the rail. Sometimes I'm busy! jerry ----- Original Message ----- From: "jnschum" <jnschum@olympus.net> To: <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Friday, October 05, 2012 7:22 PM Subject: M_Boats: Sealant for hull-deck joint
Jerry
I got lost in the sealant discussion. As I see it there are three parts...the hull flange, the deck and the toerail (aluminum in my case) and two joints to seal. Don't you have to clean out the hull-deck joint and apply boatlife and clean between the toerail and deck and apply boatlife there as well?
Yeah a mixture of 10-24 and 10-32 screws and nuts and hands covered with boatlife does not sound like a good thing!
