Catalina sounds great, but I'm too new in sailing (never sailed before). For example, I took my M15 to Lake Casitas on my maiden solo voyage after re-furbing for three months. I would have loved to have been video taped in the parking lot doing the first time rigging set-up. I tried to set up the rigging as I remembered watching the past owner on November 1st. Some highlights/comedy club routines: while raising the mast: caught the mast stays on the motor; on the license plate; on the stern cleat; stood on the port wire; on the jib downhaul device I cleverly made! attached the jib upside down... attached the boom and main and did not put sail in mast track... had the boat parked with stern into the wind during setup... and the always popular start the outboard with the vent cap closed... Oh, and the best was wondering why my truck was full of water - I forgot about using the trailer tongue extension... But, I learn fast! I have found some experienced people to give me some help this coming Saturday. If it doesn't rain again. Norm M15 #172 If you see me coming get out of the way - for now.
