Hi Jesse, Glad to hear that things are going well and you are eagerly anticipating your first sail. It takes a trip or two to get things sorted out, but as a former big boat sailor, you know that the pointy end is called the bow; the blunt end is called the stern, and you know about things like shrouds and sheets. I use lighter fluid to get the goo off the hull; I've also tried acetone. Usually lighter fluid and some time works. Another product that you might want to try is called "GOO GONE", which promises miracles, etc. Connie
