5-1/2 x 1-3/4 is the actual size of nominal 2 x 6 lumber. Next size up is 2 x 8, which should measure 7-1/2 x 1-3/4. Of course any lumber, even synthetic can be trimmed to any size you want. On Mon, May 25, 2015 at 11:34 AM, Karen & Smiley <magoo252@comcast.net> wrote:
My M15 bottom board is worn and truthfully I would rather have a new one. I measured it to be 5 ft 6 inch Long by 5 1/2 inches wide and 1 ¾ inches deep. Would rather have a wider board like 7 inches wide by same other dimensions to replace it with once I put the boat in the water. Any suggestions including a synthetic board that won’t rot?
