M_Boats: Jib Downhaul

Hello group: I am considering adding a downhaul for my jib on my M15. I have seen where the downhaul line runs back to the coaming in pictures posted to the web, but would like to know what diameter the line should be (I am thinking 1/8 or 3/16 line) and what kind of block is mounted to turn the line at the foot of the jib.
