Note to Jerry: Include tie-down eyes on the 16 that keep the strap away from the hull Depending on the hull/deck joint design, maybe padeyes hidden under the flange? Tod Mills M17 #408, 1987 galley model BuscaBrisas

I just recently bought a strap for something like 8 bucks from WestMarine. It was on the closeout rack, marked down from something like $27.99. It is a seat belt material quality nylon strap probably 16 ft long or so. No ratchet, just two hooks and a buckle that works like a trucker's chain tie down. Hook to the trailer rails, pull the strap through the buckle, lightly snug, and flip the buckle over. It works very well. The only problem is the left over strap, which I tuck into one of the cockpit lazarettes.... _______________________________________________ http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/montgomery_boats
