Hi Robbin, Interesting info about your top deck, floor, and the 3 boards not being a true compression post. I assumed they were. Once you open up your deck please take some pictures so we can view the construction and the amount of water saturation. This had happened to my M23 also, but a former owner had dealt with the problem.
