randy: my M17 is #375 built in '83. she is one of the first with the 'modern' transom and deck (but still cast iron centerboard and steel punching ballast). from the outside she looks like a 'new built' boat. i have an adjustable motor mount.
4hp longshaft mount directly to the transom or does it still need a bracket to keep the prop low enough in the water?
