I added a longer tiller and didn't feel it necessary to reinstall the Forespar extension. The tiller came from WM and, I think, was for a Catalina 22. It just needed a little wood removed on the sides to fit the M15 cheek plates. It works great for single handing, but the shorter stock tiller is more convenient when sailing with crew. Unfortunately, switching tillers isn't quick and easy. Better to buy a new (Ida Sailor or JD Woodworking) blade and switch rudder/tiller sets for sailing with and without crew. I epoxied an arm on a wooden chair crooked. I understand that heat will soften up the epoxy. Can I soften the epoxy with a heat gun, straighten the arm, and let it cool and harden, or once it has been heated, is the epoxy shot? Thinking about spring, I am looking at tiller extenders. Any recommendations for m-15?
