Hi Bill, Checkout the Garelick model 597310 three step ladder. I use one of those on my M17 and love it. It is removeable off the transom when you are done swimming and stores below. It's very solid, and I have fashioned a mount out of PVC which uses the same bracket for my skulling oar.
