It is nice to hear from people who understand why someone would undertake such a time-consuming and expensive project. It is a labor of love...and a recognition of the honest design and craftsmanship embodied in this vessel. I like you was saddened by the pix on the Internet. The more I looked at those pictures the more I realized that this boat was probably non viable from an economic standpoint and therefor at high risk of simply being allowed to "die". When I contacted the previous owner it was clear that he was leaving S. F. and just wanted to "unload" the boat. Luckily timing and circumstances allowed her "rescue" as you put it so well and perhaps like the Phoenix she will rise from the ashes. Perhaps I should name her that. Anyway it seems that a few people are sufficiently interested in her and her transformation that I'll start posting pix of her progress. Rick
