I have a Magellan Meridian Marine. Their chart CD cost about $150 and covers the whole US. No matter how large an SD card you have, you can only download one chart at a time, so if I went on a road trip I'd have to take a laptop with me. Norm

I have an older Map 76. Can I answer any specific questions for you?

I'm not familiar with this model, but Garmin is kinda tricky about that. For some reason, they do include navaids and some other data into base models, but NOT the high end models, in which they expect you to buy the Blue Chart software....which gives you much more map detail, but in a limited area. I was not happy to learn that I had to purchase, download and install software with navaids for my GPS sounder, but it they were built in to the basic GPS 48. Watch em!

Does anyone have this model? What I am curious about is the coverage that is built in to it as far as maps and waterways.
