I don't know which senders have this trait, but I've seen what you mean. The list doesn't do any formatting, so it's something about how they're being created. My only thought is to ask everyone to look in the archives and see if their posts lack formatting. If so, check your posting program. HTML formatted messages are converted to plain text, so you could check that you are not posting HTML. Also check that your word wrap setting is < 80 characters. I don't see it very often, but it sure does make the message tough to read. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Wood" <dwood@woodatwork.com> To: <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Wednesday, December 22, 2004 5:51 PM Subject: M_Boats: Some messages--no line breaks
I suppose this might be better directed to Keith Diehl, but I was wondering if any others here were encountering the same problem that I have with some of the messages posted here. No it's not the personal attacks ;) it is that the text doesn't get wrapped around at the right side of the screen. It only happens with about 30% of the messages here, but it makes them a little bit of a hassle to read. I've tried four different web browsers on both Macintosh and Windows computers, and I get the same results.
And Keith, if you're interested in knowing exactly which messages exhibit this problem, I'd be happy to let you know. Heck, for all I know, my messages might be doing the same thing. So, does anyone else run into this?
David
