One thing I never got out of any of the accounts is whether the sailboat was under sail or under power. Assuming the lights were on (so no violation on the sailboat side) I don't know how anyone could defend the powerboat. At least here where I sail, boats under power have to give way to wind powered boats. So the powerboat is entirely guilty. It's as if you drive and hit a parked car; who cares that there's a drunk inside? Andrei.
