M_Boats: Montgomery 17 sails

I have been pricing sails since my present set is 36 years old. Some of the makers have prices for "inshore" and "offshore" sails. What is the difference. The wind here often blows 15 to 20 knots in the summer. Does that mean I should consider the more expensive "offshore sails"? Tom B Montgomery17 #258, 1978
