Greetings! Happy Mother's day to all of you wonderful ladies. And if you ain't a momma, make sure you tell em!! Now on to our 2nd love... OK, mayber 3rd... I know a great number of owners are fresh water owners so this is primarily directed to the saltwater sailors of M17's. 1. Is there a recommended regime for haul outs? I'm contemplating an M17 purchase and currently own a fixed keel. But with the keel/CB is there something else to be mindful of besides just hauling and bottom painting? 2. How much of the time to you keep your boats in saltwater? - More than 80% of the year? - 40% - 80% - Pull it out everytime? And a general question, when anchoring out how much 'talk back' do you get from the C/B? I have some friends here with C/B sailboats (none of them Monty's) say they can't sleep a wink because their C/B bumps against the trunk unless they pull it in all the way. But when they do that they get more roll. BTW, does having the ballast made from steel punchings create any problems rust-wise or corrosion-wise? Fair winds, Joe s/v Sea Gray
