Many of the 70s M17s were in the popular base color red/green/blue/yellow. as the years went by fewer were we 'colored' and more were made in a light cream. Better if it wasn't painted over the original gel coat. The modern paints are really good but they are less flexible than gel coat and fiberglass. very easily chipped and for a trailerable boat this is a problem. Does anyone know if any M boats were manufactured with colored gel coat? I've seen a green hull, and was curious if that was factory or painted.
