I unexpectedly was high and dry in my M15 at a shallow dock, while sleeping aboard in the middle of the night. I ended up running a dockline to a piling to center the boat upright balanced on the keel- it didn't do any damage but we were in soft sand. Google "beaching legs" for an excellent solution people often use in shallow areas with a large tidal swing. It should be possible to build some for the M15. Hello, I'm brand new to this forum, I really admire Montgomerys, and I'm wondering if an M15 could be kept on a beach that dries completely at low tide? Our waterfront home on Puget Sound has a great place to dock a boat, but only one that can sit on its hull when the tide goes out, which is twice daily? It's a very calm, protected inlet with no wave action. Would an M15 work in such a place? Thanks for your replies! Bruce W Sent from my iPhone
