The Fashionistas make me laugh. If you are a rag sailor, a good set of oilskins and a Sou'wester hat is an absolute necessity. If the weather deteriorates; green water comes over the bow; and it's raining in bucket fulls; you just need some oilskins that keep you semi-dry. These aren't "Fashion" products. They are something you wear to solve the rain and sea water hitting you in the face problem. Our oilskins did their job for years and years. The seams didn't rip; they were build and tested by sailors under the most miserable of ocean weather conditions. Why don't you Fashionists go sell gaily painted garbage bags to your clientele. They are good for one time wear; you can come out with new models every fashion season. We sailors will wear what works for us. Stay out of our bailiwick, and we won't mess with your "fashions" .
