I have a 2007 M15 I bought last year, sail mostly on a small lake south of Rochester NY. I posted this message on both Montgomery and Sea Pearl sites. There is interest from at least 3 sp's from NYS and surrounding states, with two suggestions of sailing Cayuga Lake, possibly from the south end near Ithaca. There is a state park with camping in that area as well. Beautiful country, Cayuga is bigger than I usually sail (I haven't taken my boat out on Lake Erie yet, but the inner harbor and lake around Buffalo is an intended destination). So there is some potential for a decent sized group of trailer sailors. I would think a weekend in July, August or September makes sense. Cayuga Lake is a big lake, 40 miles long, I don't think there would be a traffic problem, but there might be a problem with campsites filling if things go in that direction. Obviously still in early stages, looking for input. A couple of us have been increasingly interested in lake sailing lately. However, as I recall, those lakes are long and narrow without much shelter for gunk holing. I think they are big glacial gouges cut mostly in granite, so they're deep with a lot of cliff like shores and limited holding for anchoring. But, I'm still interested. I'm in contact with a few other M-boaters that don't use this list, so if you develop a plan let me know and I'll forward the cruise information on to them. What time frame are you considering? Before or after school vacation seems the best for avoiding the increased traffic on those lakes during the summer. Mike Murphy was tentatively planning a cruise on Lake Champlain this summer. Frank Durant and I did that did the southern half of that lake a few years ago and would be interested in going back to explore the north end from Plattsburgh to Canada. Maybe Mike can chime in on what his plans are. BTW, what's your name? Rick M15 #337 Bluebird

I know there are some sailors?here from the northeast.? Any interest in meeting this summer in the fingerlakes?? Canandaigua Lake has a nice state park with ramps on the north end with a nice hotel right next door.? Keuka Lake has a nice state park with ramps and camping sites.? Winter does eventually end in upstate NY.
