Was that a lite gray boat? If so, it's one I made for myself to take down to Mexico, and I remember someone coming by and talking me out of it. Glad you've enjoyed the boat. I've taken the liberty of forwarding your email to the M-list and the Sage forum because that's the best way to sell the boat, I think. Hi Jerry:
Glad to hear you are doing something you really enjoy. I believe we were one of the last customers to purchase the Montgomery 15 from you. My wife Cindy and I were vacationing in California in May of 94 and decided to drive to Rancho Cordova and see your operation. We had previously owned a Monty 15 and then a Monty 17. We had just sold our 17 a few weeks back. We loved the boats and wanted to buy a new 15 because it would fit in our garage for storage.
One look at the quality of your operation and we decided to buy a new 15' on the spot. You told us you would personally do most of the work and added some special features that normally come only on the 17'. You then offered to deliver the boat (hull no. MMP15512F494 invoice 402 dtd 7/6/94) to our home in Minnesota. We even convinced you and your dog "Spot" to stay overnight with us and tell some great sailing stories.
We have now decided to sell the Montgomery 15 because my wife has been told by the doctor to stay out of the sun because of her skin condition. I was wondering if you could recommend the best way to go about selling the boat. The boat is in great shape because it has always been kept in inside storage and never been in the water more than a day or two at a time.
Good luck in your rigging business.
