I just moved up to a 27 and the admiral is enforcing the “one boat at a time” rule.  The family is growing so I thought I’d try a bigger boat for a while.  I’m sure that some day I’ll come to my senses again and move back to the smaller boats.  As far as preferences go, I just like the 17 (not that I dislike the 15).   The only down side I can think of on the 17 vs the 15 is that it takes a little more time to set up.  I like the extra room, both in the cockpit and in the cabin. And I LOVE the way she sails!!!  The MSOG page (www.msog.org) does an excellent job of comparing the two.

OK!  Looks like I've sold the big boat and I am ready to go small.  The short list is a CP 16, Compac Suncat, Montgomery 15 or 17 and maybe the new Compac 18 coming out sometime this year (so I am told).  So,,,,, any comments, experiences shared or any info about the boats mentioned would be appreciated.  The short, short list is CP 16 vs Montgomery 15.
