Chesley, Buy it! Too many sailboats is never enough, particularly if they are M-boats. Try the M-17, then if you find it suits your sailing better than the M-15, keep it and sell the M-15. But you may decide to keep the M-15, and sell the M-17. It is possible that you may choose to keep both boats. Not to be embarrassed if you own two M-boats, start a collection, get an M-10 and a M-23 too. Recently, a 1982 M-17 came up for sale, $2500. She's in ok but not great shape. No major problems that I can find. Centerboard has been dropped, sanded and epoxied. Boat is dirty and has some cushions but they really don't fit. She comes with a ok trailer, new lights and bearings. Boat has electric system missing. 4 hp 2-stroke johnson. Am I a idiot for buying her? I just want to find out if it suits me better that my 15. Thanks, Ches
