I've been considering replacing the hubs on Stargazer's trailer with the studs/nuts type instead of the bolt type that's presently rust welded in place. I've bent several wrenches trying to get them off, but since Stargazer's in the water for the last 2 years, it's a low priority.....but soon!!
How much were the hubs at the trailer supply ?? I can't remember which type West Marine carries, but they come in a nice kit and boxed in a thick plastic carry case.
I may have to try heating the studs to remove them...if they were nuts, it would be a snap to crack them.
