Norm, I have always used a bungee. I run it between the shrouds, and under the boom to keep it from working up. If the bungee if fairly snug, it does keeps the mast from flogging. While having a little slack in the rig while sailing may be a good thing it's going to increase the stress on the rig when the boat is anchored in a chop. Any ideas on how to easily avoid this? I don't think bungee cords would really help much, need something firmer. Norm _______________________________________________ http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/montgomery_boats
