I just lauched my 2006 Montgomery 15 this week for the first time in Barnegat Bay NJ, and there is water in the sole of the cockpit almost all the time. Any one had this happen to them? Am I doing something wrong. Had 3 pjeople in the boat including myself. ?? Sandy _______________________________________________ http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/montgomery_boats

Hi Sandra and M-gang, When I had the burping and water spitting CB pennant hole in our M15, my solution was to build a teak block that fit the CB pennant hole. I put a wider "lid" on the top, shaped to fit the slope of the sides of the water channel, to keep it from dropping down the hole, and epoxy glued the two pieces together. Then I drilled a hole for the CB pennant; threaded the pennant through the hole; and put the teak plug in place. Under normal sailing conditions it stopped the burping and spitting, and our feet stayed dry. When docked, I'd raise the teak plug so that rain water could easily drain. The solution worked very well, but I think you could just stuff a small sponge in the hole and it would do the same. Connie
