M_Boats: Mission Bay, San Diego

Folks, I know some of you sail out of Mission Bay in San Diego, so maybe you could answer a couple of my questions. One, is there concern with clearance for Montgomery 17's under the three bridges? I got a clearance of 38' (presumably at mean sea level) off the web for the first two, which should be more than ample (more than London Bridge, eh Sean), but you can't believe everything you read. Another question has to do with use of the Bay; is there enough space to sail with all the other watercraft whizzing around, particularly in the fall to spring period? Dunno, but it seems as if a week sailing out of one of the marinas would be a load of fun. Thanks, Tom Jenkins M17 Scintilla
