Ah, yes, one can meet the prettiest girls in see through Baby Doll nightgowns in the middle of the night in a severe thunderstorm if you are on a sailboat Connie
OK, Connie, let me make sure I have this straight. Are you suggesting that I should add "Baby Doll nightgown" to the recommended gear list for crew members on the next San Juan cruise?? Hmmm... OK, OK.... I see where you're going with this...I'd have to plan the right anchorages (Winter Cove would do nicely)... then pick a boat with a pretty gal and a dorky husband... that won't be too hard... and anchor downwind of them... Yeah, you know, that just might work! Good plan, Connie! I'll let you know how it turns out!

Larry, I forgot to add that the very frequent lightning strikes during the storm were like turning the stage lights up as far as they would go, as we were working...... Once Nancy's (and her husband's) boat was safely rafted up with ours, we enjoyed a good laugh; dried ourselves off, and went back to bed. The next morning before they departed for Block Island, RI, my wife and I quickly created and then presented Nancy with a *First Prize* in the Fishers Island "Wet Baby Doll Nightgown" contest that was held last night. - the high point of their two week long first sailboat cruise from Greenwich, NY to Block Island and back.
