Since there has been some discussion recently about cruising to the
Dry Tortugas, I thought I would put together an informal cruising guide
based on the week-long trip my brother and I took in '99. There are
several chart sections showing the route, some photos, and links to
relevant sites. I even e-mailed and received directions from The DT
ranger station for the correct approach to the anchorages. The cruise is
not at all hard to make as long as the weather is normal (so what's
new).
That's the thing about managing a web site, you can put up any old
thing. My own electronic soap box. Thanks for buying the box,
folks.
The page has a lot of images, so you may want to read/write your
mail while it loads (a couple of minutes maybe). Find it on the MSOG
at:
If you have anything to add, or want to say a few words about your
own DT trip (like a cruise review), send it to me and I'll try to fit it
in.
Enjoy,
Doug
