Charging kit for Honda OB

Gel coat restoration

Hey Skippers, Anyone have experience with M15-23 gelcoat restoration ? My boat previously was a Dream Boat: she sat in the sun while the owner mostly dreamed. My impression is that JM used very good technique/ materials, the damage seems minimal compared to what I’ve seen on equivalent age sun stored boats. So I’d describe the oxidation as light/moderate. I’m looking at a shurhold polish/ buffer. I’m well aware of the danger of over zealous circular polishing, seems more likely with lapstrake hull form. The Shurhold is orbital and smaller. Just a note to say thanks for the information about the 7'11" Monty dinghy. This blog is a great resource for all Montgomery fans. Thanks also for the history of how Jerry got started with them in his own business. The 7'11" is now mine, complete with sail rig. The Hess Mfg. Fatty Knees is on the trailer at the welders shop. I am buying the 7'11" MMP dinghy. It will be a companion to the Hess built Fatty Knees I already own. I will be using the sail rig. The other boat is remaining with the seller. I may have mis stated those facts in my previous post. Among the grandkids I have been blessed with are two boys. The dinghy's are for their sailing education. Thanks for the prompt reply to my query. I check daily for Montgomery blog postings. The Trailer Sailer blog has almost no discussion regarding Montgomery boats. I have my sights set on 2 dinghy's. Here are the id plates as best as I can tell. They are somewhat obscured; 1) MMP 71903 FO90 2) MNB 80110481 Can anyone help me identify these boats? They are both simulated lap strake boats, about 8' long. The latter is a row boat. It has a raised floor that I assume is flotation. The former has a full sail rig, c board and rudder. 3 Mariners Who Drowned from Boats Moored at Dock

This begs asking for more information, e.g., You knew each of them? What were they were doing, such that they were no longer on their boat? What kind of boats were they, that they couldn't manage to get up into again? Likewise, if they were at a dock, couldn't they just swim to the boat ramp, or ladder somewhere, or shore (and crawl/walk out)? Did they die of hypothermia?
