So Steve....about that....😇 I heard that the Montgomery owners group is not really doing owners group cruises in Puget Sound any more. Is that because the group has been more or less rolled up into the Potter Yachters? I really want to do as many group sails as possible, I think it’s so much more fun sailing with a group, and I’m hoping to see a lot of Montys on the water. I’m signed up for the Salish 100, and will do the Palooza Crooza, but I’m hoping for more group sails throughout the summer. Maybe we need to resurrect the owners group cruise? Looking forward to this summer! I can't find a decent transom drain plugs for 1 3/16 inch diameter drains. The boat came with rubber flask corks that are easily disloged. Thanks Kevin

M17 Transom Drains. Sorry, the drain diameter is 1 3/8 inch, not 1 3/16 inch. Most boat launches are on the north of the lake. Chinook is for boat moorage but I don’t know where the boats are launched around there. Kayaks can be on launched there though. I think the north of the lake is the best bet or the ships canal on the way to Ballard. I think some of those northside moorages have parking - parking is always a problem. Here’s a secret. There is free public, as in City of Seattle parking by Chinook for 72 hours and parking is pretty much available during the day when people go to work. It is on Fairview Avenue between E. Roanoke and E Lynn. People are not supposed to sleep in their RVs in the city. So a private commercial parking lot would be better. Good luck. Christmas is a very busy time on Lake Union with pontoon planes, lighted boat parades, commercial tours and normal activity.
