I have put two new photo albums up. Hess Tribute II which has a couple of interior shots of the BCCs and CBC 2004 that are from the Chesapeake Bay Cruise. http://www.dkelch.funtigo.com/ I never knew that if you move the cursor near the upper right corner of the picture you can get a high resolution vesion of the photo. Montgomery Coffee Table Books (a bit long)

Hi All, The web site of MSOG members pictures (and other trailer sailors) is coming right along. When you get a chance punch into http://Billamicasr,funtigo.com And take a look at Craig Honshells, Randy Graves and Larry Yake Crafts. There's some great photography or shall I say PICS of Monty's & Members. BTW - It's going to continue to be a work in progress so when you find no written explanation of a picture, it's because I'm waiting for material to write. Or it's because I'm too busy. A Request, if I may... If you see a picture of someone you know but, the caption is either wrong or theres no information... email me with the corrected stuff. I'd like to not embarrass myself to badly, for to long. Every now and then I'll post a little update like this one... so you can see who's showing off their boat or their faces. Now about that coffee table book. I went to www.smallcraftadvisor.com and ordered past issue #7 of the SCA magazine that has the review of the M-17. As you would imagine, the review was, in a word... shinning. So, I've now got a great coffee table book for less than $6.00. If you have the M-15 it would be issue # 29. I can say without a doubt, I liked and preferred the smaller issue of SCA. Certainly had character and was easier to find. Just thinking... Bill M-17 "Tipperary"

The CDI FF2 works VERY well as a reefing unit for the M17, I wouldn't bother with any furling unit that wasn't also reefing. I have a used FF2, and buying one used is no problem because there are no complicated parts on the CDI to wear out . . . I have employed my REEFING capability extensively on my M17 to reduce sail in dicey conditions . . . I can reef from postage-stamp-size to full in seconds and would never settle for just two size options: 100 or 140 . . . With the CDI, there are no furling/reefing compromises, only a slight difficulty in stepping the mast, and let me emphasize, this is a SLIGHT difficulty, because stepping my 17's mast with the CDI is still a one-man job, with no gin-pole, baby-stays or other assists . . . Some claim the flat foil of the CDI doesn't give as good a sail shape as a round foil would, but I think my genny shape is fine when reefed to any size . . . My CDI Flexible Furler has really added safety and versatility to my sailing . . .
